Protest Meeting in Presevo

 

The protesters, students and graduated Albanians from Eastern Kosova who have been graduated in the University of Prishtina, pupils, teachers / professors and intellectuals as well as many citizens in a long line about half a kilometer did march in the main roads of the town with the national flags and the slogans against the Serbian Minister of Education and the Belgrade regime as well, accusing for the discrimination of the Albanians in Presheva, Bujanoc and Medvegja.

Today in Presheva / Presevo, thousands citizens from the Eastern Kosova, came from all parts of Presheva / Presevo, Bujanoc / Bujanovac and Medvegja / Medvedja who were gathered in front of Gymnasium “SKENDERBEU” and started the protest march with the motto “Stop the Deportation of the Brain”. This protest meeting was organized by the organization of the Human Rights led by its leader Belgzim Kamberi and supported by the entire Albanian political spectrum, by over fifty NGO’s in the country and abroad, as well as by Youth Forums and other organizations for youngsters, too.

There were present in this protest meeting the leaders of the local governments and of the political parties of Presheva / Presevo and Bujanoc / Bujanovac, Ragmi Mustafa – PDSh (The Albanian Democratic Party), Nader Sadiku – PVD (Party for Democratic Action), Shaip Kamberi – PVD (Party for Democratic Action), Jonuz Musliu – LPD (Movement of Democratic Progress), Galip Beqiri – KN (National Council), Skender Destani – BDL (Democratic Union of the Valley), Rami Zylfiu – UDSh (The Democratic Union of the Albanians) and others.

 

The protesters also held on their hands the slogans / leaflets, where it was written and condemned the discrimination policy, the right for education and the non-recognition of diplomas from the Universities of Kosova, which diplomas have been recognized by the majority of the EU countries and the countries of the world as well.

“We want university”, “We want the recognition of Diplomas”, “Hundreds of diplomas remained valueless” and other acclamations, have been heard today the loud acclamations from the protest meeting in Presheva / Presevo, who spread out in a quite way addressing by letters and telegrams to the International Organizations in Belgrade, Brussels and Geneva as well on the occasion of the Human Rights World’s Day.

Moreover, the protest meeting today in Presheva / Presevo has been followed by tens (10s) journalists not only from the Albanian representatives from Kosova and Albania but also from Serbia. The problems for what has been protested, as problems of these citizens as for instance: diploma, language and other issues of the culture will be sent for the reviewing and solution to the European Emissary Doris Pack and we hope for a quick solution.
